Ciro Ferrara, New manager of Sampdoria. Sampdoria had a new manager to compete in Seri A next season and they chose Juventus ex-manager, Ciro Ferrara.
‘Sampdoria announce that they have achieved agreement with Ciro Ferrara who will be the team manager and will be officially announced in several days later.’ Said Sampdoria official statement in Football Italia.
Ferrara managed Italy National Team U-21 before and in last several weeks Sampdoria approached him trough FIGC.
Sampdoria promoted to Seri A after winning play-off with their former manager Giuseppe Iachini. But the club seemed they did not believe in Iachini to manage the team in the highest level of Italy competition.
‘Club is grateful to Giuseppe Iachini and staff for their good and successful work for several months in which make Sampdoria promote to Seri A.’
‘Sampdoria pray for Iachini and his staff career in future.’
Ferrara ever managed Juventus in 2009-2010 but he was fired before his contract ended due to bad results which were got by the club.
