Germany were defeated by Switzerland

Germany were defeated by Switzerland. Like Denmark, Germany national team also got bad result in their friendly match towards Euro 2012. Germany were defeated by Switzerland national team in St.Jakob Park. German lost 3-5 against the team which failed to play in final round of Euro.

Germany goals were scored by Mats Hummels, Andre Schurrle, and Marco Reus. Whereas their rival’s goal were scored by Eren Derdiyok (hat-trick), Stephan Lichsteiner, and Admir Mehmadi.

Germany entered the field wihtout their full team squad, they played without player who plays for Bayern Munchen.

Derdiyok scored first goal in 21’ after he received pass from Tranquillo Barnetta. The Hoffenheim’s striker jus needed two minutes to double his goal, and it was also assisted by Barnetta. Starting form Barnetta’s pass, he was heading the ball to score goal.

Before the end of first half, Germany could decrease the margin goal. Starting from freekick, Hummels was heading the ball to score goal.

Five minutes after kick off, Erdin Dediyok scored the third goal and the goal also started from Barnetta. He scored goal after taking an advantage from Barnetta freekick. And Switzerland led 3-1 against Germmany.

Akan tetapi, skor kembali berubah dalam rentang dua menit saja. Swiss memperlebar jarak menjadi 4-2 Gokhan Inler melepas bola tinggi ke dalam kotak dengan Ter Stegen gagal menghalaunya sebelum ditanduk Leichtsteiner.

Germany’s hope cameback to life after Andre Schurrle scored goal in 64’. His shot from outer penalty area could not be saved by Switzerland goalkeeper, Benaglio, and the score changed 2-3. But it was just for two minutes the score reamined unchanged,  Leichtsteiner made Switzerland led the score 4-2 in 66’.

In 72’, Germany scored goal again to decrease the margin goal, and it was Marco Reus who scored the goal. But a nightmare for Germany came four minutes after the goal. Starting from Ziegler’s free kick which hit the goal post, the rebound ball was shot by Mehmedi to complite Switzerland’svictory goals.

Switzerland defeated Germany with score 5-3. With the result, Germany should do something to strengthen their team before Euro kick off considering they also placed the same group as Denmark, Group B.
