 ‘Ronaldo is already proper to win Ballon d’Or’. Like Luis Suarez, the coach of the Portugal national team, Paulo Bento, also felt that the impressive performance of his star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, in Real Madrid should be enough to make his the first-rate candidate to win Ballon d’Or.

In 2011-2012 season, Ronaldo scored 60 goals in all Real Madrid competions including 46 goals in La Liga and he helped Real Madrid get their 32^nd La Liga trophy. He also established new record as the first player who scored in all La Liga teams in a season.

And with his performamce in his club, Paolo Bento believed that Ronaldo was already proper to take the prestigious Award from Barcelona star player, Lionel Messi, who got three times in a row since 2009.

‘About Ballon d’Or, I do not feel what he will do in Euro will have many influence.’ Said Paolo Bento.

‘He is already enough to do what he had to do, in my perception. I mean that with the season that he has undergone, statistics that he established, and the fact that he won La Liga, he will be able to reach the target, Ballon d’Or.’

Bento also disclaimmed that if the chance to get the award will be additional motivation for Ronaldo in Euro 2012.

‘I do not feel it can be motivation. In my opinion, it will be a additional pressure and we do not want it in our team. What he needs is to play well, to help the team, and to continue playing in the highest level, but it is not because of the award.’ Said him.
