About AD Alcorcon

AD Alcorcón is a professional football club based in Alcorcón, a suburb of Madrid, Spain. The club was founded in 1971 and plays its home matches at the Santo Domingo stadium, which has a capacity of around 5,000 spectators.

The team plays in blue and yellow kits and its nickname is "Alfareros". AD Alcorcón has played in the Segunda División, the second tier of Spanish football, for several seasons, and has also competed in the Copa del Rey, the top domestic cup competition in Spain.

One of the most notable achievements of AD Alcorcón was their performance in the Copa del Rey during the 2009-2010 season, when they reached the quarter-finals of the competition, defeating La Liga teams Real Madrid and Real Sociedad along the way.
